 | Ingredients: 1 Cup(s) flour 1 Cup(s) sugar 1 egg egg 1 Teaspoon(s) baking soda 1 Tablespoon(s) or more cinnamon |
Directions:
cut and pare and peel apples; make slices as you would an apple pie, layer on buttered (very little) pan (4x4, larger double recipe) dot apples with butter chunks (not too many)(you want some juice and apples should be juicy) then combine flour sugar egg, baking power and a half tablespoon of water (consistency not too dry, not too liquidy) enough to drop onto apples; sprinkle liberally with cinammon. put into to a 350 degree oven (preheated) for about 20-25 minutes; you should see topping a bit crusty (it will have a spongy underneath. this is great warm with ice cream or milk...experiment with apples you like and amounts....good cold too with milk |
